How the Board Plan (Revolving Matrix) works
A board plan, also called a revolving matrix, breaks the network into small boards — commonly 2×2 or 2×3. When a board fills, the member at the top exits with a reward and the board splits into two, moving everyone up one step toward the top position.
The attraction is frequency: rewards land often and visibly, which suits short-cycle launches.
How commission is calculated
A new member enters the lowest open position on the current board. As joinings continue the board fills from the bottom up.
Once the final position is taken, the software pays the exit reward to the top member, removes them, splits the remaining members into two new boards, and promotes everyone accordingly. If re-entry is enabled, the exiting member is placed at the bottom of a fresh board automatically.
Admin sets board size, exit reward, re-entry rule and whether re-entry is free or purchased.
- 2×2, 2×3 or custom board configuration
- Automatic board split and member promotion
- Exit reward and re-entry rules per board level
- Board progress view so members see their position
- Multi-board levels (board 1, board 2, board 3…)
- Cycle and reward reports for admin

Who runs this plan
- Short campaign launches with strong recruiting momentum
- Companies that want frequent, visible member rewards
- Plans layered on top of a physical product line
What to settle first
Boards only split while new joinings keep arriving, so model what happens in a slow month before you launch. Anchoring board entry to a real product purchase rather than a bare fee is both safer and more durable.
Board Plan (Revolving Matrix) FAQs
What is a board plan in MLM?
A plan where members fill a small board of positions. When the board is complete, the top member exits with a reward and the board splits into two new boards, promoting everyone a step.
How many boards can the software handle?
Multiple board levels are supported — members who exit board one can be routed into board two and beyond, each with its own reward.
Is re-entry automatic?
It can be. Admin decides whether an exiting member re-enters free, re-enters on purchase, or leaves the cycle entirely.
